An office/recreation building owned by Macon Housing Authority, but used by several different local organizations , such as, Boys and Girls Club, WIC (Women’s, Infants, & Children), Central Georgia Technical College, Head Start, Macon Housing Authority (Felton Home), Inter-Resident Neighborhood Association, EOC Outreach. This 35,000 square foot single story building has been divided into six separate zones: each separate from the other with different locks, zoned HVAC, etc. The purpose of the building is to provide a central location for community outreach and easily accessible services. Construction included demolition of the original armory with the exception of the existing gym and indoor shooting range. The gym is located in the central portion of the new facility with the old shooting range being converted over to the offices and storage. On either side of the gym are two new wings consisting of administration offices, meeting rooms and classrooms used to supports the services listed above.
