Constructed eight (8) high school tournament-level tennis courts, including court accessories, wind screens, bleachers, lighting, fencing, drinking fountains, sod, irrigation and an architectural modular block retaining wall. Challenges for this project included a tight budget and complex site layout and court con? guration issues. The original layout of the tennis courts showed a 4 and 4 con? guration. This layout would have put 2 of the tennis courts outside of the property line. Parrish worked closely with the Architect, and the Water Authority and came up with a 5 and 3 con? guration, allowing the school to keep the eight courts required to host high school sanctioned state tournaments. After the project bid, it became obvious that substantial saving would be necessary: Parrish came up with innovative cost saving solutions and helped the project come in over $100,000 under the established budget.
